Made from authentic live aragonite reef sand to naturally re-create actual marine environments in your home aquarium. Biologically and mineralogically complete formula is proven to reduce nitrates and algal growth, speed the cure of live rocks, and promote coral growth.

With millions of water purifying bacteria per pound that start to cycle a new aquarium as soon as you pour it in, with no rinsing. Helps suppress new tank syndrome, compress ammonia cycles, and maintain a proper pH of 8.2 without adding extra chemicals or needing to be replaced.

Packed in real seawater and loaded with naturally occurring calcium, strontium and carbonate for healthy coral growth, with no silica or chemical preservatives.

For best results, use at least 1 pound of Arag-Alive per gallon of seawater. For deep sand beds use 2 pounds per gallon. Do not rinse. Arag-Alive compresses new tank cycle time and suppresses initial ammonia spike. Live rocks and most invertebrates may be placed in aquarium immediately. However, gradually introduce fish within the first 3 weeks, and do not exceed one inch of fish per 5 gallons of water during this time.

Placing new substrate over the top of an established substrate bed can be damaging to aquatic life. Gently mix new material into the existing bed with fingers. For added safety, this process can be done in sections, over the course of a few days.
